Week at a Glance

REPORT CARDS
-Report cards are being sent home today. Please take time to review it with your student and read the comments together. Please sign and return the envelope next week. The report card is yours to keep. If you are in need of a second report card, please note that report card marks can be checked online on PowerSchool. Please let your homeroom teacher know on Monday if you require a second hard-copy of your report card.

FIELD TRIP FORMS
-Field trip forms for CPO need to be back as soon as possible so teachers have time to finish the paper work and copying before the trip on Wednesday, Feb. 6th. You can pay the fee online on your MyCBE account.

HUMS
-We have finished up the early explorers to Canada, watched The Story of Us Episode 2, and are moving full steam ahead into the Fur Trade starting next week! 5-1 will have time to finish their Explorer Trading Cards on Monday and they will be due at the end of class that day. 5-2 Explorer Trading Cards will be due at the end of class on Tuesday. You are welcome to work on these at home over the weekend if need be.
-OREO Explorer paragraphs were due today along with the self-assessment checklist.

MATH
-We continued to work on division this week.
-We will be continuing to work on long division next week as well.

SCIENCE
-Students worked on their Jeopardy games in preparation for their quiz in wetlands/weather.
-Students will have a quiz on Monday or Tuesday next week. It will be an open book quiz and students will be allowed to use any of the notes/pictures/information that they have collected throughout the term.

FRENCH 5-2
-French quiz marks have been posted on PowerSchool and students had the opportunity to go over the quiz today in class and ask any questions they may have had about their marks. We are going to start looking at personal subject pronouns and verb conjugation in the coming weeks.
