Couleefest Couleefest is fast approaching! Next week on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon we will be presenting our projects to the school and community. Make sure if you are baking something to do it this weekend and freeze it or prepare to do it Mon/Tues next week! Food should be brought to school in a cooler if it needs to stay cold. Remember you do NOT need a full size sample of your food product for every person - you can half or quarter items!! It's just supposed to be a tiny taste if you have samples. Any other elements of your project that are unfinished can be worked on this weekend. You may have a small bit of time next week but we will need to practice presenting next week as well! Parents are welcome to either day. Come and celebrate with us! HUMS Book Buffet - we wrapped up our Book Buffet this week! Wow - there were some very tasty looking projects! Congrats on all your hard work on these displays.  If you did not finish your book buffet, please take the weekend ...

Both 5-1 and 5-2 will be starting this work some time after June 10th (many snickers and giggles happened at this announcement). Students have been asked to bring home this letter ASAP. The entire project in Humanities for the Book Buffet is due Monday, June 10th. The majority of students were not prepared today with their materials. You may also use the art cart materials and work on this over the weekend. This due date was stated at the end of April and was recorded in our black writing duotangs in our purple Book Buffet booklets.

HUMS Book buffet books should be finished today!! If you aren't done reading, please finish this weekend. We are starting our project next week (if you haven't already) so bringing your materials to school is important! Please come prepared next week with what you need to work on your final project at school in class. Thank you! We have finished going through the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as well as creating our own Charter for TMC, and have moved on to looking at the topic of Quebec Separatism. We reviewed reasons for the referendums of 1980 and 1995. We are now applying it to our own lives and asking "What if Western Canada decided to separate from Eastern Canada? Would you vote yes or no - why?" Students have chosen a side and are creating a propaganda poster in order to sway others to their side! MATH and SCIENCE -Students continued to work on their backyard projects. Almost everyone has finished their area/perimeter sums, completed a good copy of the...

Volunteers Needed!!

We are still in need of 4 volunteers for our field trip to Heritage Park on June 5th! Please email sesimmons@cbe.ab.ca or bpcroswell@cbe.ab.ca if you have your current police check on file with the school and are able to come along with us on this trip! It is important that we have parent volunteers for safety reasons and so we can have manageable group sizes for the Wetlands program and exploring around Heritage Park. Thank you!
